Week in review
Some recent sketching and illustration:
I’ve been back to work (part-time), teaching and developing courses. The adjustment has been…challenging. Adjustments are always challenging for me, so much so that I am perpetually being diagnosed with “adjustment disorder” which really just seems to be another way of saying “how I am.”
It’s got me thinking and reading a lot about neurodivergence and its named and unnamed forms, and what can account for my lifelong sense of off-kilteredness. Certainly, what I read and hear about the neurotypical experience of the world does not, shall we say, resonate.
I love a good Venn diagram, and I found something about how depression and a thing called “neurodivergent/autistic burnout” have many things in common, but some critical things not in common. Interesting.
