The pleasure is mine. I have been reading work by British author Katherine May recently - Wintering and The Electricity of Every Living Thing. Like you, she investigates and observes and notices. So even in writing the words for those three actions, writers like you and May prod me to think about the essential differences among them, and that leads to further investigation, observation, and noticing, and so on.
Since you posted this, I've been pondering the differences between those as well. It's been fodder for a job talk I'm giving next week for a prospective position.
The best writing makes something extraordinary out of dailiness. You inspire, Sarah.
Thank you!!!

I hope the talk turns into fodder for an essay.,
A good dust bath does a body good. Thanks for sharing, Dave lost his taste and sense of smell for about 4 months, to him, everything taste burnt.
What joy is sapped away from life when you can't taste or smell.
I wholeheartedly agree.
